Fondaction helps Quebecers prepare for retirement with a universally affordable RRSP that contributes to Quebec’s sustainable development.
Since it was founded in 1996, Fondaction has operated on the belief that it is not only possible but necessary to do things differently in the world of finance and business. Steadfastly committed to a socially responsible approach to finance, Fondaction invests the retirement savings it manages in projects designed to have a positive economic, social, and environmental impact on Quebec.
To maintain and create jobs across the province Fondaction invests in businesses and funds from all sectors as well as the social economy. It is represented on the SDA board of directors and is one of our major financial partners.
Since Fondaction came on board in the development of Technopôle Angus in 2004 it has invested $11,802,754 in the project.
Fondaction also created Fonds Immobilier Angus to develop projects beyond Technopôle Angus. Société de développement Angus is a full partner in the fund.
Caisse d’économie solidaire Desjardins
Caisse d'économie solidaire Desjardins has been Société de développement Angus’s financial partner from day one.
Caisse d'économie solidaire Desjardins is the only financial institution of its kind in Quebec. It specializes in group and social economy projects, cooperatives, and cultural endeavors, and shares SDA core values such as job creation, responsible investment, sustainable development, and community-directed development.
Our partnership with the Caisse d’économie solidaire goes beyond the financial services we need to operate. The Caisse also provides the mortgages for Technopôle Angus and has backed many of our social and cultural projects.
Investissement Québec and Canada Economic Development
The Technopôle Angus project would not have been possible without the support of Investissement Québec and Canada Economic Development, who came on board as major partners by providing loans.
Investissement Québec and Canada Economic Development are more than just government agencies—they are full-fledged partners along with Caisse d'économie Solidaire Desjardins and Fondaction CSN. To date, Société de développement Angus had repaid $6,090,000 to Investissement Québec and Canada Economic Development.
