Bringing an Ecodistrict Undergoing Transformation to Life
An Innovative Project in a Changing Environment
The first building to be constructed in the Louvain Ecodistrict, Terra Nostra will offer a high-quality living environment that is both modern and welcoming. Offering a wide variety of spacious, bright, and easily accessible housing options, the project has been designed to allow everyone to feel truly at home there, for the long term.

Sustainable and Eco-friendly Architecture
Designed to blend harmoniously into its surroundings, the Terra Nostra project focuses on the use of sustainable materials such as aluminum and green concrete. The development promotes an eco-friendly living environment with a green interior courtyard, green roofs, and an urban forest accessible to all.
The complex consists of:
- 5 buildings interconnected by a shared ground floor
- Dual-aspect apartments, designed to maximize natural light and ensure good ventilation
- Outdoor walkways ensure smooth circulation between buildings

Long-term Affordable Housing
The building will be owned by a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve access to affordable housing at below-market prices, while ensuring the affordability of these units. This project is made possible thanks to financial contributions from the Government of Canada, the Government of Quebec, and the City of Montreal. The Caisse d'économie solidaire Desjardins is also a key partner in the realization of Terra Nostra.
