Lignes de désir, or desire paths, are those taken by pedestrians and cyclists spontaneously to get from A to B more quickly and efficiently, without staying on the ​“official” path established by the authorities. Here, we are using this expression metaphorically, where desire paths represent well thought out, innovative avenues that are taken to create new designs based on user needs.
