A Visionary Agreement

In fall 2024, the Société de développement Angus signed a letter of agreement with the city of Laval to develop its Carré Laval project.

The project is part of a vision to transform downtown Laval, enriching the natural environment and developing real estate on the site of the former Lagacée quarry, covering an area of over 420,000 m². Near Highway 15 and Saint-Martin West, Daniel-Johnson and du Souvenir boulevards, this site has several lots primarily owned by the City of Laval.

A New and Innovative Eco-District

Carré Laval will be an innovative, mixed-use district designed to serve the community while strengthening its urban resilience. The district will provide a complete and connected living environment, home to R&D companies, research groups, and incubator hubs within a dense built environment, along with a residential offer and public services.

A first phase signed by the Groupe Angus

The Groupe Angus will lead the first stages of this major urban revitalization project. This phase includes the construction of 1,000 housing units, 500 of which will be affordable. It also includes the development of approximately 25,000 square feet of commercial space.

In parallel with the residential component, the Groupe Angus is working on the creation of a 100,000-square-foot innovation center in collaboration with several higher education institutions: UQAM, Collège Montmorency, Collège LaSalle, and the Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS).
