Building green without breaking the bank
This first multiplex rental property in Canada to receive LEED CS certification marked an important step forward with regard to cost considerations around green construction. In reality, the cost of construction is the same as that of a regular building. This includes a passive solar wall for energy savings, water retention basins, a water recycling system to use in toilets and showers, and lockers for tenants to promote active transportation.
