A Major Urban Project for Montreal

Transforming the Former Racetrack into a Complete Living Environment

The Groupe Angus has been selected under component 4 of Quebec’s Affordable Housing Program to carry out part of the development of the Namur-Hippodrome neighborhood. Transferred to the City of Montreal by the Government of Quebec, this area will be transformed into an inclusive and resilient neighborhood capable of accommodating between 18,500 and 20,000 housing units, more than half of which will be off-market. The Groupe Angus plans to build approximately 1,000 affordable housing units on the former racetrack site, including 477 during the first phase.

An Exemplary Residential Complex

In collaboration with the City of Montreal and GALOPH - Groupe d'accélération pour l'optimisation du projet de l'hippodrome - the Groupe Angus aims to develop a project focused on social and functional diversity, an eco-responsible approach, and harmonious integration into the neighborhood. The land designated for housing will be located less than a ten-minute walk from the Namur metro station, and the southern side of the development will be bordered by a neighborhood park as well as public and cultural institutions.
