Revitalizing the Banks of the Grandes-Fourches Sector
A City Facing a Housing Crisis
The City of Sherbrooke has been severely affected by the housing crisis currently affecting Quebec. As a result, it is becoming increasingly difficult for residents to find affordable housing. As the largest city in the Eastern Townships, Sherbrooke is the region's economic, cultural, and institutional centre. With a population of approximately 175,000, it is also home to two universities that welcome nearly 40,000 students, making it an important university hub. The vitality of its job market and the natural environment that surrounds it make Sherbrooke a particularly attractive place to live, which contributes to population growth and, by extension, increasing pressure on the housing market. Thanks to its expertise in land revitalization, the Groupe Angus will be able to contribute to the development of a structuring project that meets the needs of the population.

First Phase in Planning
In July 2025, the Groupe Angus signed a letter of agreement with the City of Sherbrooke to form a partnership to revitalize five sites located in the heart of the city, near the the Grandes-Fourches sector. This large-scale project involves the development of a complete residential, institutional, and commercial living environment. It will include affordable housing, common areas, and local shops.
