Carré Laval: Over 1,000 New Affordable Housing Units in Laval

On Monday, March 30, the Government of Quebec and the City of Laval confirmed their financial support for the Groupe Angus to carry out the first phase of the Carré Laval residential development project. To this end, the Government of Quebec is granting the Groupe Angus a subsidy of over $28.3 million, as well as a $60 million patient capital loan. The City of Laval, for its part, will provide the decontaminated land on which the housing complex will be built.

An Innovative Project at the Heart of the Carré Laval Eco-District

Located on Daniel-Johnson Boulevard at the corner of Du Souvenir Boulevard, the Carré Laval residential project will include over 1,000 affordable housing units that will be off the rental market. A total of 8 buildings, ranging in height from 7 to 18 stories, will offer a variety of apartment types, including studios as well as 1-, 2-, and 4-bedroom units. Inner courtyards and green roofs will enhance the project.

Construction is expected to begin in early 2027. The first units should be available in 2029, and all units are expected to be delivered in 2032.
