Gaétan Nadeau is a writer, researcher and journalist who has also been involved in municipal, provincial and federal politics. He ran as a candidate for the NDP in 1988 and for the NDP Quebec leadership in 1989. He has also worked tirelessly for the ACEF (associations coopératives d’économie familiale) and the Ligue des Droits et Libertés. Mr. Nadeau holds a master’s degree in Law from the Université de Montréal and began PhD studies in regional development before returning to politics. He has since retired to Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, far from the hustle and bustle of the big city.
